NVIDIA must be genuinely loving the business its H100 AI GPUs are going through with the massive explosion of AI being used everywhere, with the Financial Times now reporting global demand for its flagship H100 GPUs for countless AI projects across the planet.
The company is expected to ship over 550,000 of its H100 AI GPUs, which when you think they're worth $40,000 USD per GPU (and sometimes more, given that they're selling for as high as $70,000 USD in China in cut-down form), NVIDIA is making a mountain of money from AI. The base $40,000 USD price is just the starting point, meaning NVIDIA is looking to make at least $22 billion USD this year alone from its H100 AI GPU sales.
Remember, this is just for the NVIDIA H100 AI GPU let alone the just-announced GH200 Grace Hopper GPUs which feature new HBM3e memory, and boast a wicked upgrade for AI use moving into 2024 and beyond.
