NVIDIA's current flagship GPU is the GeForce RTX 4090, but there was a monster quad-slot card teased at one point... but never released. It could've been a higher-end GeForce RTX 4090 Ti or an even more monstrous TITAN RTX with 48GB of GDDR6X memory, I guess we'll never know. But one thing we know is that the prototype cooler is on sale in China and it costs $120,000 USD... which works out to around $180,000 AUD without GST. Yeah. It would've been nice to offer a GeForce RTX 4090 Ti inside one of our Ready to Ship Gaming PCs.
The massive cooler was spotted on Taobao's Goofish platform, where used products and sometimes even prototypes as we have here today are sold. A member on Goofish called "Hayaka" has the prototype cooler for the unreleased GeForce RTX 4090 Ti or TITAN RTX on the platform for a price of $888,888 RMB, which works out to around $120,000 USD or around $180,000 AUD.
What do you get for $120,000 USD?
Well, you're not getting the GPU or PCB... this is literally just the cooler, and that's it. You'd be buying this as a collector's item, and what a collector's item it would be. But is it worth $120,000 USD? I don't think so. If you had money burning a hole in your pocket -- and through your shoes, and into the ground -- then maybe, and if you do, I'll provide you with my shipping address ;)
The quad-slot cooler is a behemoth in the pictures and would surely be even bigger in person, while it's something NVIDIA hasn't released before... a quad-slot Founders Edition graphics card.
The 16-pin "12VHPWR" power connector is placed in a different place compared to the other members of NVIDIA's GeForce RTX 40 series Founders Edition graphics card, too. It's more towards the front of the card, versus at the back of the other RTX 40 series FE graphics cards.
