Diablo 4 Players Have Spent 276 Million Hours In Hell Since Launch

Diablo 4 Players Have Spent 276 Million Hours In Hell Since Launch

Diablo IV has been out for a few weeks now, with the game earning more than $666 million -- yes, what a number for a game like Diablo -- in its first five days alone, setting a new record for Blizzard.

Diablo IV is now the fastest-selling game of all time in Blizzard history, with the company openly bragging that the $666 million in sales in the first five days alone exceeded the worldwide box office of all horror films released in 2023, combined. It's a huge success for Blizzard, and a massive amount of fun for gamers, streamers, and everyone in between.

Personally, I've been playing Diablo IV for a few weeks now and have been enjoying it thoroughly, slowly grinding through the game as a Sorcerer. I'm a huge fan of the original Diablo and Diablo 2 -- not so much Diablo 3 or Diablo Immortal -- but Diablo IV is just so much fun. I want more, more, more, but just don't have enough time in the day.

Diablo IV Week 1 Launch Stats:

  • 276 million hours played (that's over 30,000 years!)
  • 2.73 billion monsters killed
  • 166,000,960 total parties created
  • 316,991,632 player deaths
  • 429,792 players killed in PvP
  • 5,792,063 deaths by The Butcher
  • 6,263 Level 100 players
  • 163 Level 100 Hardcore Players
  • Most popular class: Sorcerer
