NVIDIA's flagship GeForce RTX 4090 graphics card is mega popular amongst enthusiast gamers, so much so that it's 4x more popular than AMD's flagship Radeon RX 7900 XTX graphics card... it's the second-most used GeForce RTX 40 series GPU between Steam gamers.

Steam's new Hardware Survey shows that NVIDIA GeForce GPUs account for 74.96% of users on the platform, while AMD Radeon GPUs only have 15.93% of the pie. The most-used GPUs on Steam are:

• NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1650 (5.3%)
• NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3060 (4.8%)
• NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1060 (4.6%)
• NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2060 (4.1%)
• NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3060 Laptop GPU (3.7%)

Meanwhile, the most-used new-gen GPUs that are used include:

• NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4070 Ti (0.68%)
• NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4090 (0.65%)
• NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4070 (0.55%)
• NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4080 (0.47%)
• NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4060 Ti (0.23%)
• AMD Radeon RX 7900 XTX (0.17%)
